What is Geopathic Stress?
‘Geo’relates to the earth, and ‘pathic’means detrimental to health.
Geopathic stress is a natural phenomenon, which affects certain places and can be damaging to our health. It relates to irregularities in the earth's magnetic field, which can be aggravated by a variety of features. (Anderson, Susan & Scott, 2008)
Geopathic Stress is the Earths vibrations which rise up through the Earth that are distorted by weak electromagnetic fields created by subterranean running water, certain mineral concentrations, fault lines and underground cavities. The vibration distorted becomes abnormally high and harmful to living organisms. (Gordon R, n.d.)
Fortunately, the effects of Geopathic Stress can be avoided or neutralised, using Earth acupuncture, commercial devices or other methods.
Earth acupuncture is one technique, which can be used to remove geopathic stress
How does Geopathic Stress affect us?
Geopathic Stress does not cause an illness instead; it lowers your immune system, making it harder to fight any type of illness. Geopathic Stress can prevent your body properly absorbing vitamins, minerals, trace elements etc. from your food (and supplements) and often making you allergic to food, drinks and environmental pollution (Gordon R, n.d.).
Imbalanced energies from Geopathic stress zones can cause a multitude of symptoms including; irritation, depression, hyperactivity, persistent health problems, poor sleep, ill health and other disturbances. They are responsible for what German people know as 'cancer beds' and 'cancer streets'. (Alanna Moore, 2009)
Animals and plants are also affected by Geopathic stress. Cats generally are attracted to these zones where as dogs dislike and tend to avoid these areas. Other animals that are attracted to and thrive in Geopathic Stress zones are; ants, wasps, bees, termites, slugs or nails, insects, snakes and owls.
Plants that are affected usually display some form of abnormal or distorted growth. Types of plants that thrive and are attracted to Geopathic Stress zones are; Oak trees, Elder trees, Ivy, Fungi, Mistletoe, Bindweed, Nettles/Dock thistles, Fox gloves Cacti, Ferns or Nightshades.
